- List qualities of fabrics used for interfacing.
- State uses of interfacing.
- State different ways of decorating a toddler’s play dress.
- State fabrics suitable for making a toddler’s play dress in the tropics.
OBSERVATION:
Question 4a and 4b were not highly attempted and those who attempted them performed poorly. The expected answers are as follows:
Waistline of a skirt: calico, muslin, organdie.
Neckline facing: petersham, taffeta.
Cuff of a long sleeve: lawn, calico, cambric.
Facing on a wrap opening: Vilene, muslin.
The expected answers for the qualities of fabrics used for interfacing are fabrics should be non-fraying, inexpensive, washable and durable. In question 4c, candidates were able to correctly state the uses of interfacing. Candidates responded correctly to questions 4d and e and scored high marks.
