Many candidates could compare the properties of cotton and wool under absorbency, resiliency, washability, effect of alkaline, cost and strength correctly and scored high marks. In question 6b, many candidates could not mention the uses of nylon in the manufacturing industry, instead they were mentioning the local uses of nylon bags for carrying good from the market. The expected uses of nylon in the manufacturing industry are: It is used for seat belt, fan belt, rugs, nose mask, twine.
