Observation
The question was taken from the book Labarun Gargajiya 1(Oral Prose) and the candidates were expected to state the number of children that were born by Xan’auta’s mother in (a), to state the type of occupation recommended for Xan’auta by his parents in (b), to state what the parents had given him as capital in (c), to state what was promised to him by the farmers in (d) and to state what was given to him by the time the ’ya’yan sarki (sarki’s children) were getting married in (e).The response should be as follows:
(a) ’Ya’ya ko yara goma ta haifa.
(b) Fatauci
(c) Sanda
(d) Hatsi
(e) An ba shi budurwa xaya, daga cikin cucanawan sarki ya aura.
The performance of candidates on this question was not encouraging, it was evident that majority of them were not familiar with the content of the literature text.
