Observation

This question was attempted by many candidates and their performance was poor.
In part (a) candidates could not correctly name traditional sporting activities, they wrote wrong answers such as judo, acrobat, ayo game, sack race, hunting and hudo.  In part (b) candidates could not also state features of the Modern Olympic Games, they wrote irrelevant points such as involves may activities, athletes are not allowed the use of hard drugs, squash, relay race, swimming l00m race and pole vault.
The expected answers are as follows:

4 (a)       TRADITIONAL SPORTING ACTIVITIES
-   dance/named
-   gymnastics/stunts/tumbling
-   boat regatta/canoe racing
-   wrestling/named
-   fishing
-   running
-   horse riding/horse racing/swimming

(b)  FEATURES OF THE MODERN OLYMPIC GAMES
-    held every four years
-   there are opening and closing ceremonies
-   there is a game torch which is lit and kept burning for the duration of the games/Olympic flame
-   there is an Olympic flag which has five rings
-   emphasizes amateurism
-   medals are awarded/presentation of medals to winners
-   there is oath taking by officials and competitors
-   it is open to all people/participants all over the world

-   hosting right is rotational/held in different countries
