Observation
This question was attempted by few candidates and their performance was poor. Candidates could not skillfully serve ball in the game of tennis such that each lands in the correct service court.
However, the expected answers are as follows:
Activity 6: Service in Badminton game
Procedure:Candidate stands at the service area of the court, and delivers a long service into the opponent’s court.
Use the scale of 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 to score the grip, stance and execution as the candidate performs the activity.

All performances will be judged according to the following rubrics:
Grip
(i) held at the handle
(ii) firmly held
(iii) hand rests on the butt
(iv) hand is relaxed
(v) adopt a comfortable type of grip
(vi) fingers wrapped round the handle
Stance
(i) assume astride position
(ii) both legs in contact with the ground
(iii) facing direction of the court
(iv) stand at the service area
(v) concentrate fully
Execution
(i) shuttle is dropped
(ii) hit the shuttle forcefully with the racket
(iii) extend racket hand backward and forward
(iv) racket arm is swung forward and upward
(v) rear leg moves forward/follow through
Product Evaluation
The purpose is to measure the ability to deliver long service in badminton. The targets are shown in the diagram below as marked on the service court. The candidate stands at the service area and serves into the correct service court.
