Candidates' Weaknesses

The candidates were generally weak in

• listing tools used for sharpening;
• listing the types of wood and their uses
• questions that involved the timber preparation and uses of tools.
• pictorial sketches of joints
• pictorial sketches of hammer

To overcome these weaknesses;

• the students should be exposed to practical’s in a carpentry and joinery workshop;
• assignment that involved pictorial sketches should be given to the students always;
• the teachers should demonstrate practically how to use tools during lessons.
