Strength

Candidates' Weakness

(i) Poor use of English Language:
This manifested in poor grammatical expression and inability of candidates to articulate their ideas. This could be solved if candidates should make efforts to read newspapers, novels, etc in order to improve their command of English.
(ii) Poor knowledge of the subject/matter:
Some candidates exhibited poor knowledge of the subject matter in their responses to some of the questions. It was also evident that majority of them did not prepare well for the examination. In solving
this problem candidates should endeavour to read relevant text books to improve their knowledge of the subject matter.
In addition qualified Government teachers should be employed by schools to teach the subject.
(iii) Inability to interpret the questions correctly:
Due to the inability of some candidates to interpret questions correctly, a lot of them wrote irrelevant answers. Teachers should take more time in teaching students how to interprete questions.

Also, candidates should take time to read questions carefully before answering them.
