Candidate's Weakness

 

The Chief Examiners observed weaknesses in candidates performance  in the following areas:

- Difficulty in answering questions on cultures, sound system, some aspects of oral and written literature, and poetry
- Poor knowledge of orthography
- Poor handwriting
- Inability to cover the syllabus
- Non-adherence to rubrics.

Suggested Remedies

 

- Candidates should cultivate the habit of reading.
- Candidates should write legibly.
- Candidates should constantly practised essay writing to acquaint themselves with the rudiments of essay writing.
- Candidates should endeavour to buy and study prescribed textbooks.
- Candidates should cover the syllabus before the examination.
