Candidates' Weakness and Suggested Remedies
CANDIDATES’ WEAKNESSES
Candidates’ weaknesses were observed the following areas:
- poor understanding of Igbo proverb;
- inability to tackle the literature aspect;
- illegible handwriting;
- inability to write the required length in essay writing.
- Candidates should abide by the rules and guidelines for Igbo orthography.
- Candidates should buy the recommended literature texts to enable them prepare well for the examination.
- The state libraries should be equipped with relevant Igbo grammar and literature books.
- Candidates should develop the attitude of reading novels to improve their vocabulary.
- Candidates should practise continuous writing in order to improve their writing skill and avoid spelling errors.
- Candidates should endeavour to cover the WAEC syllabus.
