Observation

This question was attempted by many candidates and their performance was good.  Candidates

are familiar with the game and due to the popularity of the game and also with active participation  in the game.

 

However, the expected answers are as follows:

 Activity 5:      Kicking for Distance     

Procedure:        

The candidate runs to kick a stationary ball placed at the intersection of the end line of the 16.5

meters goal area as far as possible using any style of kicking.  The first bounce of the ball is taken

as the distance the ball covers.  Three consecutive trials are allowed.  The best of the three trials

would be recorded.

 

Process Evaluation:

Use the scale of 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 to score: body position, run-up and execution as candidate performs the activity.

All performance will be judged according to the following rubrics:

 

Body Position:

(i)         in a standing position

(ii)        feet firm on ground

(iii)       looking towards the ball

(iv)       body in a balance posture

 

Run-up:

(i)         from a comfortable distance

(ii)        short run/walk

(iii)       toward the direction of ball

(iv)       from a comfortable angle

 

 

 

Execution:

(i)         body leans forward

(ii)        facing direction of kick

(iii)       full extension leg in action

(iv)       arms are in swing action

(v)        ball is released with powerful kick
