The expected answers are as follows:

 

Activity 7:  Forehand clear in Badminton

 

Procedure:  The purpose is to measure ability to hit the forehand clear from the back court high and deep into the opposite court.  Right handed candidates stand with the right foot in front and left foot for left handed candidates leading on the X square.  An assistant examiner stands at the Y square with a racket extended overhead.  The shuttle is dropped and hit with a forehand clear over the assistant examiner’s extended racket.  A shot that fails to pass over the net does not score.  Three trials are allowed.  The assistant examiner should stand by the net for accurate visibility and judgment.

(i)         assume astride standing position

(ii)        both legs in contact with the ground

(iii)       facing direction of play

(iv)       maintain a side-on position

(v)        focus on target

 

 

 

Execution

(i)         shuttle is released

(ii)        hit under the cock

(iii)       extend racket arm backward and downward

(iv)       racket arm is swung upward and forward

(v)        rear leg moves forward/follow through

 

Product Evaluation

 

The purpose is to measure ability to hit the forehand clear from the back court high and deep into the opposite court.  The best of three trails is recorded as the candidates score.
