(b) (i) Mention two officials that should be present during the use of the facility.[2 marks]
(ii) Mention the two equipment used to indicate valid and invalid attempts

(c)  (i) mention three skills in shot put.                                                                 [3 marks]
(ii) State six similarities between shot and discus throw events.                   [6 marks]
(d) (i) State four features of 200m race in athletics.                                            [4 marks]
(ii) Outline three rules guiding athletes in an 800m race.                              [3 marks]

Observation

 

This question was attempted by majority of the candidates and their performance was good. In part (a) (i) most of the candidates correctly named the facility illustrate in the diagram. In part (a) (ii) candidates were able to name each of the part labelled I, II, III and IV.  In part (b) (i) majority of the candidates correctly mentioned officials that should be present during the use of the facility. In part (b) (ii) some candidates did in it. In part (c) (i) they did well in it. In part (c) (ii) most of the candidates could not correctly state similarities between shot and discus throw events. In part (d) (i) some candidates could not correctly state features of 200m race in athletics. In part (d) (ii) some candidates could not correctly outline guiding athletes in an 800m race.
