The candidates’ weaknesses included their inability to:

1. Demonstrate exposure to practical activities during  class work;
2. describe the ‘set’ position in athletics;
3. describe the running technique in middle distance races;
4. describe delivery service in table tennis game;
5. describe somersault in gymnastic;
6. explain the scoring system in tennis game.

The following remedies were suggested to overcome the weaknesses:

• Practical should be introduced to students of Physical Education;
• Teachers should adhere to the use of syllabus strictly when teaching, with demonstration of the skills during practical periods.
