Àpẹẹrẹ ọ̀rọ̀ Yorùbá mẹ́ta mẹ́ta tí ó bá irúfẹ́ bátànì wọ̀nyí mu:
(a) K F – F: náà, bẹ́ẹ̀, káà, ṣíọ̀, fùú, sùù, fòò, bíà, yìí.
(b) K F – F – KF: bẹẹrẹ, ṣáájú, béèrè, sùúrù, bẹ́ẹ́rẹ̀, dáódù, ráágó, bọ́ọ̀lù, góòlù.

(ẹ) KF – KF – KF: kókóró, kékeré, kedere, kodoro, pẹrẹsẹ, pelemọ, kúlúsọ, kọ́kọ́rọ́.
Most candidates missed the answers because of their nonchalant attitude to the spelling of the tones, especially the need to indicate the midtone with a macron on the syllabic nasals (n̄, m̄). The performance was fair.
