1. Báǹkì kan tí mo lọ: This is a descriptive essay on a bank that the Candidates’ have been to. Some candidates who attempted this question failed to give a proper description of the bank they had been to but a good number of them were able to write satisfactorily on the topic.

(b)Ààwẹ̀: This is an expository essay. Candidates were expected to write generally on the fasting-its meaning, its features, types, benefits and its challenges rather than do this, some candidates wrote based on their religious understanding of the topic. This led to poor performance.

1. Ọjọ́ tí ọwọ́ pálábá àwọn adigunjalè ségi ní àdúgbò mi: This is a narrative essay which required the candidates to give an account of when armed robbers were caught on their street. Most of the candidates who attempted this question displayed a good grasp of the contents and nature of the essay.

1. Iyì ju Ọrọ̀ lọ: Candidates were required to write in favour of or against the topic “Honour is better than Wealth”. This topic was not properly handled by most of the candidates who picked the topic. Majority of them dogmatically wrote in favour of one side of the topic without mentioning the cons. This reduced their chances of scoring reasonable marks in the question.

(ẹ)  Kọ lẹ́tà sí ọ̀gá àgbà ilé-ẹ̀kọ́ rẹ láti tọrọ àyè kí o fi lè lọ sí ìlú rẹ fún ìtọ́jú àìsàn kan tí ó ń ṣe ọ́
This is a formal letter that required candidates to write a letter to their school principal to seek permission in order to go to their home town to treat themselves.
Candidates’ performance in this question was commendable.
