History Paper 2 Nov/Dec 2015

General Comments

The paper offered candidates good opportunities in all sections as it was within the scope of the syllabus; and was of the same standard with that of the previous years. The questions were straightforward and an unambiguous and were evenly spread to cover all sections of the syllabus.  There was substantial reduction in the number of candidates that sat for this paper but this did not affect the general performance of those who wrote the examination. Their performances improved slightly this year when compared with that of last year. However, some candidates performed woefully and their under-achievement was largely attributable to common and familiar weaknesses.
