Observation

This question was attempted by many candidates and their performance was good.  In part (a)(i) candidates correctly name the athletic event for which the facility illustrated is used, in part (a)(ii) candidates also correctly name the parts labelled I, II, III and IV.  In part (b)(i) candidates correctly mention officials that should be present during the use of the facility illustrated, in (b)(ii) candidates also correctly mention the equipment used to indicate valid and invalid attempt during the use of the facility.  In part (c)(i) candidates correctly mention skills in shot put  in athletics, in (c)(ii) candidates correctly state similarities between  the shop put and discus throw events.  In part (d) candidates could not correctly describe the set position in a sprint race in athletics.
