General Comments

 

The standard of the paper compared favourably with those of previous years. The questions were straight forward and also covered a wide range of the syllabus. The marking scheme was exhaustive and flexible.

The performance of the candidates was poorer than the previous year with candidates population of 869 which had a raw mean score of 20 and standard deviation of 08.72 as against the WASSCE for the Private Candidates 2017 which had a candidates population of 1,228 with a raw mean score of 22 and standard deviation of 06.93.
