Observation

This question was attempted by many candidates and their performance was better. In part (a) (i) many candidates were able to correctly outlinefactors that could affect the organization of inter-house sports competition in school.   In part (b)they did well in it. In part (c) many candidates  were able to state advantages of single elimination.
The expected answers are as follow:
(a) Factors affecting the organization of inter-house sports
            -lack of funds/finance/money
            - bad weather/climate/explained
            -lack of sport facilities/equipment/named
            -insufficient/inadequate physical education teacher/personnel
            -poor attitude of school management towards sports
            -insecurity/explained
                       
  (b) Benefits student could derive from participation in inter-house sports competition
            -it provides avenue for social interaction
            -acquisition of sports skills
            -enjoyment /fun
            -development of physical fitness
            -it prepares for inter school/national competition
            -relieve from stress/tension/less fatigue
            -development of spirit of sportsmanship
            -development of permanent interest in sports
                       
  (c) Advantages of single elimination competition
            -it is easy to conduct/organize
            -a large number of teams/players can be involved
            -it saves time
            -it saves cost
