This question was attempted by majority of the candidates who took the examination and they performed incredibly well in it. Other points candidates need to be aware of include;


(a) Meaning of tourism marketing

Tourism marketing involves the process of identifying customers’ needs and the activities which channel the flow of the goods and services from the producer to the tourists.         


(b) Demerits of internet marketing
  • Consumers are unable to feel or try the product before purchase
  • It is difficult to ascertain if buyers received the exact thing they paid for
  • Hacking into the websites of customers and companies
  • Reluctance of consumer to purchase product/services over the internet due to information privacy concerns
  • Lack of personal contact between the marketer and the target potential consumer
  • Companies face the challenge of customers who choose to improve their names from the company’s promotional redistribution

  • Offers the possibility of a high degree of creativity
  • It makes maximum impacts with the use of picture and sound
  • Its messages are dynamic
  • Its advertisement  can be repeated
  • It is convenient and flexible
  • Its messages can be conveyed in real time.
