This question attracted a greater percentage of the candidates who sat for the paper and they performed well in it. In addition to what candidates have listed, other points they could have pointed include are;

A hotel is an establishment that provides accommodation, meal and other services for travelers and tourists at a profit.

• Provide accommodation  for tourists
• Provide catering services for tourists
• Provide recreation facilities for tourists
• Provide venues for meetings/conferences
• Serve as venue for entertainment
• Serve as outlets for sales of items needed by tourists e.g. Toiletries
• Provide laundry services for tourists
• Serve as outlets for provision of bureau de change , ATM services, travel agency services
• Provide outlets for car hire services

• Reduce the extinction of plant and animal species
• Serve as tourist attractions
• Serve as relaxation centre
