Candidates were required to identify the consonant clusters in the given English words in (a) and to write the Yoruba loan-words derived from the English words in (b).
Candidates performed fairly well in identifying the consonant clusters but failed to write the Yoruba loan-words derived from the English words. The few who wrote the loan-words failed to tone mark the words. This led to poor performance in question 3.
