Observation
(a) Ẹ̀kọ́ Ilé: This is an expository essay on home training. A few of the candidates who attempted this question tackled it properly.
(b) Bí mo bá mọ̀ ǹ bá má lọ: This is a narrative essay which requires the candidates to narrate a story which ends with the statement “ If I had known, I would not have gone”. Candidates who attempted this question tackled it satisfactorily.
(d) Àbúrò Mi: This is a descriptive essay on candidates’ younger sibling.
Few of the candidates who attempted this question understood the topic. Most of the candidates could not give a detailed decription of their younger sibling especially the kind of relationship that exists between them.
(e) Àjùmọ̀gbélé sàn ju Ànìkàngbélé lọ: Candidates were required to write in favour of or against the topic “Coexisting is better than living in isolation”. Some of the candidates wrote extensively on the topic however, their argument was one sided thereby reducing their chances of scoring reasonable marks in this question.
(ẹ) Kọ lẹ́tà sí àbúrò bàbá rẹ láti béèrè fún ìrànlọ́wọ́ owó láti fi ṣe àwọn nǹkan pàtàkì kan
Candidates were expected to write an informal letter to their uncle/auntie and request assistance for money in order get some things done.
Most of the candidates who attempted this question tackled this topic very well but some candidates missed out on the technique of greeting one’s uncle/auntie.
