- Bí mo bá di ààrẹ orílẹ̀-èdè mi. This is an expository essay. Few of the candidates who attempted this question understood the topic. Most of the candidates focused on military system of government rather than writing on the contributions they will make to better the life of the citizenry if they become the president of their nation.
- Ìgbéyàwó ayé àtijọ́ dára ju ti òde òní lọ:Candidates were required to write in favour of or against the topic “The traditional marriage is better than the modern marriage”. This topic was properly handled by some of the candidates who picked the topic. However, some of the candidates dogmatically wrote in favour of one side of the topic without mentioning the cons. This reduced their chances of scoring reasonable marks in this question.
- Ìwúlò igi àgbọn:This is anexplanatory essay on the benefits of the palm tree.Some candidates who chose this question gave a detailed explanation of the benefits of the palm tree.

Candidates were expected to write a formal letter to their local goverment chairman explaining the negative effects of the incessant rainfall in their community.
Most of the candidates who attempted this question tackled this topic very well.
