Candidates' Weakness

The candidates’ weaknesses include their inability to:

  • understand team sports and gymnastics
  • mention the group of athletic events to which the hurdle stand belongs.
  • state the procedure for resolving a tie in the triple jump event
  • state features of a marathon race
  • state characteristics of the game of hockey
  • state duties of the court in a handball game
  • state features of the volleyball game
  • give instances when time-out is called during the game of basketball
  • state rules that affect the goalkeeper in the game of hockey
  • describe the procedure for determining the player that serves first in a badminton game
  • name fixture associated with the tennis court
  • explain how to determine the player to serve first in table tennis game
  • state faults associated with the performance of thief vault in gymnastics
  • describe the performance of theif vault activity under the following headings: approach, execution and finish

 

            The following remedies were suggested to overcome these weaknesses:

  • candidates should read extensively to cover WAEC Syllabus
  • candidates should improve in the mystery of physical education terminologies
candidates should also visit stadia, gymnasium and sport centres for better understanding of ball games/team sports and gymnastics.
