Observation

Candidates were required to define a morpheme in (a), and analyse   words listed above into morphemes and identify the root/free morphemes in each word.

                   Majority of the candidates recalled the definition of a morpheme in (a) but mistook morpheme for syllable in the analyses of the words listed in (b).
