Observation

Candidates were tasked to define an active articulator in (a) i and passive articulators in (a) ii and to state the passive and active articulators in the production of the above mentioned sound in (b).
  
                   (a)      (i)      Afipè àsúnsí ni àwọn ẹ̀yà ara ifọ̀ tí ó máa ń gbéra/kúrò ní
àyè wọn nígbà tí a bá ń pe ìró. Wọ́n lè wá sókè tàbí kí wọ́n wá sí ìsàlẹ̀. Ìsàlẹ̀ ẹnu èyí tí a mọ̀ sí àgbọndò ni wọ́n wà.
(ii)      Afipè àkànmọ́lè ni àwọn ẹ̀yà ara ifọ̀ tí wọ́n kì í gbéra/sún kúrò ní àyè wọn. Wọ́n máa ń dúró gbári sójú kan ni. Òkè ẹnu ni àwọn wà.

(b)     Afipè àsúnsí àti afipè àkànmọ́lẹ̀ fún àwọn ìró-èdè wọ̀nyí:

Most candidates could recall the definitions of the active and passive articulators for production of sounds in (a) but performed woefully in mentioning the state of the glottis, place of articulation and manner of articulation for the given sounds in (b).
