question 9 1 Cor. 151-58

(a) Outline the arguments used by Paul to defend the Resurrection.
(b) In what three ways is the Resurrection significant to believers?

Observation

 Only a handful of candidates attempted this question and their performance was   not encouraging.  Most of them were unable to come out with Paul’s arguments    on the resurrection that:
(i) Christ resurrection was in accordance to the scripture;
(ii) it was witnessed by people including Cephas, the rest of Apostles and more than five hundred brethren;
(iii) Without resurrection Christian faith would have been futile.

 Few of them wrote on resurrection of Lazarus.  Their response to the significance of the resurrection was scanty as they did not mention that:

  1. Believers will be able to see their loved ones again;
  2. Believers will have bodies, like Jesus body;
  3. Resurrection is the ultimate of Christianity.
