(1)     Understanding of essay writing techniques, especially the descriptive essay.
(2)     Adherence to rubrics.
(3)        Use of appropriate proverbs and idioms in their write ups.
(4)        Mastery of culture and literature.
(5)        Good knowledge of grammar.
(6)        Ability to identify consonants in given sentence.
(7)        Appropriate numbering of their responses in the booklet for easier recording of scores.
