CANDIDATES’ WEAKNESSES AND SUGGESTED REMEDIES

Some of the weakness highlighted were:  
   

  • difficulty in answering questions on Culture, sound system, some aspects of Oral and Written Literature, and poetry;
  • poor knowledge of orthography;
  • poor handwriting;
  • inability to cover the syllabus;
  • non-adherance to rubrics.

         SUGGESTED REMEDIES

-    Candidates should cultivate the habit of reading.
-    Candidates should their write legibly.
-     Candidates should constantly practise essay writing so as to acquaint themselves with the rudiments of essay writing.
-    Candidates should endeavour to buy and study prescribe texts.  
-    Candidates should cover the syllabus before the examination.
